Why take away Samsung Messages?!

I dont understand the reason for this... the customization on Google messages is terrible compared to Samsung; therefore, I would like to use Samsung Messages. I bought a Samsung phone for the customization features. And now you're taking that away? Please communicate with Google to make the customization the same as Samsung Messages (like we've been asking) because it's starting to feel like Samsung is abandoning their customers...

Yes to each their own ,Which why they those of us who chose to not use Google text and Myself downloaded Samsung Text app from Galaxy Store and disabled Google ,We like that Samsung users where given the choice to choose we chose Samsung Galaxy Text message app 👏❤😊

I hate that Samsung is forcing us to migrate to Google Messages. I bought a Samsung phone, not a Google phone. On top of it, Google Messages isn't even fully supported so why are we being told we have to switch over when it's still inaccessible to some?

I tried Samsung messaging and it sucks compared to Google in my opinion. Maybe it's because I've only used Google messaging. To each their own!!

What do you mean by "not fully supported"?  Is that because it doesn't do themes?  It wouldn't because Google Messages is a Google app and Samsung Messages is a Samsung app that was built to support theming.

Samsung Messages is the primary reason I own a Samsung phone. I will be upgrading this summer, yet without Samsung messages, I'll look into Motorola, Google or even Apple for my next device 🤦🏾 .
