Fold & Flip PhonesHi,
I own a Z Flip 5. Until now, I haven't experienced any issues with it; however, yesterday—April 28, 2026—the screen suddenly began turning black from the center outward. The dark area gradually expanded until it reached the state shown in the attached photos. The touchscreen is completely unresponsive, so I am unable to turn the device off or on, and I cannot make or receive calls. I urgently need to be able to use my phone again, but I currently have no way to fix it.
Although the warranty period has already expired, this is the first time I have ever seen a mobile phone—even one that has been used for about three years—fail in this manner. Please let me know if there is any way to repair this.

Fold & Flip PhonesSince your touchscreen is unresponsive and you can't power it off, here are a few things you can try:
Force Restart: Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button simultaneously for about 15–20 seconds. This might force the device to reboot and give you a moment of responsiveness.Back Up Your Data: If you have a PC, try plugging the phone in immediately to back up your photos and files using Samsung Smart Switch. If you can't unlock it because of the dead touch screen, you can actually plug in a USB mouse (using a USB-C adapter) to click through the menus.Repair Options: Since it’s out of warranty, a screen replacement is usually the only fix. In many regions, this costs between $300–$500. However, check if your bank account, credit card, or home insurance offers mobile phone protection—many people have coverage they don't know about!Trade-in: If the repair cost is too high, Samsung often accepts "cracked" or "damaged" screen trade-ins for a decent value toward a newer model like the Z Flip 6.
I hope this helps you get back up and running soon!
Whoa! I'm glad im the solution!

Fold & Flip Phones@Members_DyaBo7c You will most likely need to get the screen replaced. You will need to have the phone evaluated. You can find a location for that by visiting https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/
