Fold & Flip Phones
The SIM tray in an unlocked z fold 6 (USA) I recd. has a spare 'slot' in front of the SIM slot. However I see a faint print embossed 'no card' in that 'spare'. Is/was it intended for holding something and then abandoned?
Curious to know as I am a great fan of spare storage slot (coming from my note20 ultra 5g culture)

Fold & Flip PhonesHello mmani, Welcome, and thank you for being part of the Community. The "spare" slot is mostly likely from the dual SIM support. Our guess is that it is no longer able to be used as most carriers have begun using eSIMS.
The phone does not support SD cards. However, you can back up to external storage by connecting the external device to the USB-C port.
We hope this helps.

Fold & Flip Phones
Thanks, dear Mod:
Well my preorder was endowed with double the memory - soft landing my transition back to single storage. Backup not an issue ever (wireless and ext. stores cover that aplenty) - having added storage on board is key without breaking bank (z fold already does š)
