The 3 pros don't have this, airpods do. According to the pinch controls on faq for the buds4 pro they still don't have it either. They have pinch to hang up (terrible and I have this off on the 3 pro because if you adjust the bud you might trigger this) if it was mute that would be great. Please allow pinch once or pinch and hold to turn on a mute with like a tone to let you know then use the same gesture to unmute. The Plantronics headset I left after the 3 pro was the first of the buds line that had good mics and I could keep in my ears for hours has this as a button that's flawless. With Samsung buds this is a software limitation not a hardware one. This is a necessary feature on work calls please.
Yeah it's baffling to me. Especially since the two things you do with Earbuds is hear audio and take calls. Seems like a no brainer. Sony doesn't do it either. It's like one company decided nah and then the others followed their example. Apple only brought it because of backlash over the years. But now they have it so all the others should follow their example imo. Especially since it's like a software update away vs hardware. Also the OG buds did have this.
I remember this being a feature on the original buds. i owned the buds og's, 2 pro and 3 pro and only the og's had it. It appears its not on the 4 either. How difficult is this? How hard is it to program a mute the microphone? Just turn it off. Cut the power to it. It can't be rocket science.
