Galaxy Buds2 Pro Sound Quality Issues

The sound quality on my Galaxy Buds2 Pro has been quite odd. They sound good (not perfect, but good) in ANC or Ambient modes, but extremely tinny and lacking bass when in the normal mode. This problem did not used to occur, and only started after a recent earbud software update. Also, just make sure it was the earbuds themselves, I had tried to use my Buds Live as well, which seemed just fine. Could there be a solution to this, or should I wait for an update/return them?

Since my pair was under the warrenty, I requested a mail-in warrenty repair and had gotten them back in the correct quality.

I bought mine off ebay. They are in perfect condition except for a dent in the left inside vent. The left one is louder than the right. They sound good when i balence the sound, but when i put them in anc or ambient mode, they get super muddy and bassy and muffly. Nothing some 3rd party eq cant fix but idk why

I'm quite sure the Samsung Wearable app is where you're supposed to set the eq. I'm sure that's where I changed it for sound improvement on all devices and is saved directly to the buds. Using 3rd party apps would be an incorrect way.

Yeah i can adjust the balence with the app, but you dont get to customize the eq with the app. Im just using wavelet to reduce the bass when i turn on anc

I installed the wearable app again and it does has basic eq choices. Not just left and right. But, actual eq.

It is good enough to get great sound. However, if you need fine adjustments for some reason then yes, you'd have to use something else.

Quite sure you can correct the sound from the Samsung Wearable app.

While yes, this is true, it does not solve the issue. After a bit of research, I believe that it is a bug where the software is trying to increase bass in ANC/Ambient, however decreases it substantially when reverted back to normal.

I also opened a complaint about this but instead of a response from development, I got a canned response about eartips. I cannot recommend these earbuds based on the lack of technical support.

This is what confuses me about the Buds2 Pro. I have the exact opposite issue where the treble becomes sibilant and harsh whenever ANC or Ambient modes are turned on, while they sound a lot warmer, more bassy, and give a wider in soundstage when ANC and Ambient modes are both off.

Very disappointing that Samsung has managed to cause polar opposite sound quality issues for users on their flagship earbuds, and yet hasn't released any type of update or fix for nearly 3 months.

I just got my buds pro 2 upgraded from the Buds Live and I find the sound quality for the Live much better than Pro 2 although I do hear ny surroundings more. I've commented before how much I dread having to give up my Buds Live and even moreso now or probably send these back..

PRO 2 Issues:
-Sound muffly-agreeing immensely with @MJFrithjof and extensive sound quality when testing ANC and everything else
-Comes out of my small ears much more
-My hair turns the music on and off much more than the Live
-Sticks out further so it feels heavier; it comes out upon walking movement so I'm constantly turning the music on and off because im placing them back in, cant imagine running on a treadmill.
-Music fluctuates upon movement (probably a feature thing so I apologize if it's a setting on/off switch).. but just a bit too sensitive
-There's "noise" or "cracking" in the background of the music and despite changing sound equalizer to clear or any other form, I don't hear the song the way it should be heard.

Buds Live is hands down the best despite the several upgrades since. I'm dreading the purchase and stress since I upgraded only because people cannot hear me and the cleaning process is more difficult if a person literally has them in the entire day for calls, meetings and gym everyday (sorry if TMI but nit always do we have avaliable, discreet ways of digging into cleaning them). I hope they make something like the Live, probably just upgrades feature and better ability to find the buds if you misplace the case.
