The right ear bud went down to 2% and it will now no longer charge. When putting it in the fully charged case it essentially shuts down the charging case where it no longer connects to my phone and stops charging the other ear bud as well

Contacts have been cleaned and it didn't help

Hello Tmeyer37, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the Buds 2 Pro not charging properly.

Here are some steps that may help:

  1. Use the included charging cable and connect to a USB charger
  2. Check to be sure the case is charging correctly
  3. Verify there is no debris in the charging cradle pin connectors
  4. Check to be sure there is no debris in the charging connect on the Galaxy Buds
  5. Check the Wear app to determine if one bud is not charging and check the bud is fully inside the charging case

If there is still a concern with the earbuds charging, it is recommended to have them evaluated by a certified technician. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

Try cleaning the contacts in the case and the buds and try again.
