Galaxy Buds
1. Turn off touch controls (fastest fix)
This stops accidental taps when adjusting the buds.
Steps:
Open Galaxy Wearable
Tap Touch controls
Turn Touch controls OFF
or at least disable Double tap / Tap and hold
๐ This alone fixes it for most people.
2. Disable โAuto play / Wear detectionโ
Your buds may think you just put them in and start music automatically.
Steps (path can vary by model):
Galaxy Wearable
Earbuds settings
Turn OFF:
Auto play
Resume media
Wear detection (if listed)
3. Turn off voice assistant wake
Sometimes the buds trigger Google Assistant, which starts media.
Steps:
Galaxy Wearable
Touch controls
Disable Touch and hold for Voice Assistant
Also check on your phone:
Settings โ Apps โ Assistant โ Turn off media auto-resume
4. Check Google / Spotify auto-resume (sneaky culprit)
If you use Spotify or YouTube Music:
Spotify
Settings โ Playback
Turn OFF Autoplay
Google
Settings โ Google โ Devices & sharing โ Turn OFF Automatically resume media
5. If it still happens (last resort)
Clean the proximity sensors on the buds (earwax can trigger them)
Update firmware in Galaxy Wearable
Restart phone + reset buds
(Galaxy Wearable โ About earbuds โ Reset)
