Hello everyone, has anyone experienced problems closing applications using the back button and they do not close? I have this problem with Galaxy Fold 5. I have to use the home button or the minimize button and then close everything.

Very odd. Since it's app specific, it doesn't seem like anything is wrong with the functionality of the phone itself. These apps probably have specific versions for Foldable devices. I would try reaching out to the app developers for more info. You could attempt "Repair apps" in Recovery Mode in the meantime. With the phone powered off, press + hold power and volume up buttons until the Samsung logo disappears. Using volume keys, highlight Repair apps and then power to select and confirm if necessary. This reindexes all apps and might resolve this problem.

By its very nature, the back button does not close apps.

I know that the back button does not close the applications but on my previous Galaxy phones when you press it several times it returns to the main page and exits the application

Yes, it will minimize the app. Is this not happening when you are at the app homescreen and go back? Does it happen for every application, or just certain ones?

Press the Menu ||| button instead, and select "close app". The back button only minimizes apps.

There are some apps (like Twitch, or some games) that simply will not close unless I open recent apps, click on the header so it brings me to the app page in settings, and then click on Force Close. There are options to not allow apps to run in the background though (also found on the app page in settings). For truly difficult apps, you can add them to "sleeping apps' and "deep sleeping apps'. Those are the apps I do not want open unless I use them occasionally (food order apps, for example)
