Hoping someone can help.  I have an unlocked Note 10+ on at&t and it works great.  It is not 5G.  Looking to get unlocked ZFold 3 and just want to make sure it will go on to at&t's 5G network.  Can I just pull the SIM card from the Note 10 or does 5G require a new card?  Just want to be sure all my bases are covered before pulling the trigger on the unlocked version of the phone.  Thanks for any help from an at&t Customer that has already done something like this.

Also getting a Flip 3 for my significant other.  He also has the note 3.  Same concept I guess.

@SDKevin If your SIM card is old, you will need a new one. You can just walk into the AT&T store with your new phone and ask for a new SIM card to be sure that you have the correct one. I did this with my Note 20 Ultra 5G unlocked and that SIM card is working fine with my Z Fold 3.

Also, make sure that you have the correct plan with AT&T for 5G.

Hi SDKevin! My experience with AT&T was everytime i got a new phone they made me get a new SIM card. One of many reasons i left them for T-Mobile. Between wife and i multiple new phones unlocked and just swap the SIM. Never an issue. Good Luck!

This is true I've been using the same SIM for about three to four years on T-Mobile. Currently on my fold with 5G data.

If ATT is like Verizon, you'll need a sim card that is 5G capable which the one in your non 5g Note 10 is not.

That was my experience when I switched from my non 5G Note 10 to my Note20 Ultra 5G. New 5G Sim card

When I switched from my 5G Note 20 Ultra to my Z Fold 3, I just swapped sims

It should work just fine, worst case you'll have to swap out to a new sim which should be free from AT&T. Good decision on going unlocked, hate the crappy carrier phones with the ugly carrier boot animation and all the carrier junk they put. It's like they turn it into as if they made the phone.

Agreed! Love my current Note 10 unlocked. Just a few AT&T apps on the phone because I want them.
