Recently I updated to Android 12 with UI 4.0. Immediately after, I noticed I can't swipe or scroll when the phone is unfolded. Touch works fine, no dead spots and pinch to zoom works fine. Just cannot swipe up,down, left or right. The front screen works fine and nothing has changed. However, if I hold a finger down and then start to scroll, sometimes it will allow me to scroll. More often then not, it just treats it as a long press or pinch to zoom. So I have been stuck using the outer portion for a few weeks and it's driving me nuts.
I have factory reset twice, cleared cache, reverted back to Android 11 and UI 3.1 and it still has the same problem. This weekend I went back to Android 12 and got the update to UI 4.1. Still didn't fix it. I have tried every setting I can find and nothing ever changes. I tried the diagnostic and it noted an issue (I can tap all the dots, but if I run my finger across, it picks up every third or 4th dot). I am going to call Support next, but thought I would check here. Also, phone is in pristine condition, no cracks, no water damage, and I just typed this whole message unfolded with 0 problems.

Any ideas?

"reverted back to Android 11 and UI 3.1 and it still has the same problem." this implies that it could be something hardware related... but I am just as confused as you might be considering the touch works...

have you tried to use the phone in Safe Mode? if it works fine then it implies a 3rd party app is a probable culprit of this issue.

In such case, reproduce the issue and report to samsung members app > get help > error report   asap so that samsung can look into and confirm the cause of issue.
