Ever since the One ui5 update on my Galaxy ZFold 4, swipe gestures for navigation will work for a time and then out of the blue just stop working. The only way to get out of the apps you're on is to close it by tapping the bar on the top and choosing close or if you have split screen apps open you have to open a new app in full screen mode using the edge app selector, then close it. Most of the time it'll send you back to the desktop once you close the app but sometimes you have to close multiple apps to get back to the desktop. The only way to reset it is to get back to the desktop and then everything works fine again until it doesn't and you have to repeat the process. I have rebooted and I have cleared the cache for one UI home and when that didn't work I did a cache clear on all apps. Doesn't work. This really needs to be fixed it's been plaguing me since November of 2022 and here we are in the new year and I'm still having to do this workaround to get my navigation gestures working again.

Hello, We understand how frustrating it is when the gestures are not working correctly. We see you have tried the troubleshooting steps of clearing the app cache.

There are some additional steps you can try.

1. Test the phone in Safe Mode. This will disable all 3rd-party apps, so you will have to test using native apps. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

2. Clear the cache partition and run the Repair Apps option in the Recovery Menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.
3. You can run diagnostics on the phone through the Members app, and submit an error report.
4. A final troubleshooting step is to back up all the data and perform a factory reset. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
If Gestures continue to be a concern, we recommend having the phone evaluated by an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
