I've tried it and many others. Textra or Verizon messages are my faves. Google is great just needs a few issues fixed.

Yes you are right, I am using Google messages right now but in s22 series it's default by Samsung and it works perfect.

If you download and install the Google Messages apk from APK Mirror that says Samsung Dynamic, it's virtually the same thing that's on the S22. I do that with each update and I still get all the same messaging features on my Fold 3 that the S22 has and I get the One UI theme as well. Works perfectly. I prefer that version over the standard one in the Play Store. Hope that helps. Yes, you have to download it yourself but at least you can.
