My Z Fold 3 is about 9 months old now, and for the past 2 months I have been having problems when I go to unfold the phone all I get is black screen... it's not all the time, sometimes I might go a week without it happening, then like this week it's almost every time I try to unfold my phone that it doesn't turn on.  Some times when I fold the phone back up when the big screen didn't turn on I'll be able to get the small screen to turn on, but most of the time it is gone at that point too and the only way to get it to turn on is a hard restart (volume down + power button for however long it takes for it to turn back on).

I've searched for months trying to find someone having the same issues... there is a You tube video that suggested there is a ribbon that runs from side to side that is becoming unplugged when unfolding the phone... but I'm not sure that makes a ton of sense since it is so intermittent when it works and doesn't work.

The phone is still under warranty, but I have zero faith in dealing with Samsung or U break I fix on warranty claims (last Samsung I had with extended warranty on it they refused to replace a cracked screen... should have learned my lesson and moved away from Samsung but I was too excited by the Z fold 3 big screen... and I do absolutely love this phone until it started acting up...), so wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and found resolution? $1800 phone and it can't even last until the phone is paid off... if I don't get it fixed or replaced it will be the last Samsung product I buy.

I should note, I have tried everything I can find. I have cleared the cache. I have done a factory reset of the phone. Doesn't help.

Hello, Rob. I'm so sorry to hear about the trouble. The only troubleshooting I could find for a blank screen is the following: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001470/

I'm sure that you have probably already done these steps, and if so the next step here would be to have the phone evaluated by a certified technician. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/ or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For assistance outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html
