This is my 1st time using a samsung z fold phone so I am not sure if this is normal.
I just received my fold 4 days ago and I notice that when I fully charged the phone to 100% at 2am and but 7am the battery want down to 65% when is not being using. I also own a galaxy s21 ultra and when I fully charge it and the phone not being using I usually still has like 96% or 80% from 12am to 7am.
Is this normal for the fold 4 battery being drain this much when not being use.

Hello, We know how frustrating poor battery life is.

Some things that can help with Battery optimization, if you're just having a battery draining issue, is the following:

Optimize Apps: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/galaxy-battery/optimization/

If you're receiving an overheating message check out the following link:

https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/how-to-prevent-the-overheating-of-your-galaxy-devi...

If you've tried troubleshooting above, when it comes to problems overheating or exorbitant drain to the battery, repairs would be recommended. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For international customers, please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Give it about a week or so for your TSMC chipset and Fold4 to learn your usage. You'll expect even better battery life when the Android 13 version releases October

Check what is using the battery power. Go to device care and tap on battery then tap on battery graph. The list will provide you with the percentage each app has been using.

I see.

- You can test your battery by going to device care and then to diagnostics. Check battery status.
- Is the cellular service(signal bars) full or your spot is lacking in cell service?
- When you got your new Ford 4, did you restore your data from an old phone? If you did, just make sure that your data is properly backed up and do factory reset of your phone. Then upon setting it up, don't restore yet and just use it as a new device for a few days. This way you will be able to tell if issue is the phone or software.
