Galaxy Note Phones

Hello, I've plugged my phone into a car USB port (with photo/video storage???) and a portable battery charger, etc. before, And it was not set on charge only, it was at times set for ability to file transfer or ability to transfer photos/videos. Is it possible that my phone automatically transfers photos/videos to these devices, or that they have settings to automatically take photos/videos? To be blunt I'm worried that something inappropriate/embarrassing was automatically/accidentally transferred without my knowledge.

Ofc I know I can manually move things back and forth but that's not what I'm asking, I'm just wondering if photos/videos would be moved to portable battery or car digital storage (and both apparently have space for files???)

I mean you'd have to choose what files transfer, right? I think it lets you know what setting it's on. I'm not too sure tho but it wouldn't be right transferring everything especially if you got a lot of photos/videos.

Best to keep such things lock up in the Secure Folder, don't you think?

Hello Nemeyhonstinoy, Welcome to the Community.

We agree, as @Dan2023 suggested, you may want to place those files in the Secure Folder. You can follow these steps to set that up: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001401/

Typically, an automobile's USB port is designed to charge the phone, as is the portable battery. These devices are usually not designed as storage. Therefore, it would be impossible to transfer files to these devices. (Some automobiles are built to store contacts, map data, and music files.)

If you are connected to a storage device, unless there is a program active to automatically transfer files, they would have to be manually transferred. Here is an article that explains more about file transfers: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001478/
