Galaxy Note Phones

A week and a half ago and my phone would last me about 20 hours. I did do the recent update (not sure if that has anything to do with it) , but now my phone only lasts about six hours. Aside from the update I have done nothing new to my phone and I don't do anything different from before. I've also put my battery saving setting from normal to medium and still drains very quickly.

Try clearing the cache file.

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
  • An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for a few seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  • Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  • Press Power key to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  • When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

If that doesn't help, you might have to bite the bullet and do a factory reset on the phone.  Back up EVERYTHING before you do that though.

Could be an app draining too much battery or your battery is going bad
