Last night I opened the camera app from locked screen with my S pen removed and it froze, then crashed. I have rebooted my phone, installed the latest security patch, forced stop and even rebooted phone in safe mode, but I still cannot access the camera. As soon as I open it I get the black screen of death and it crashes. Same thing if I try to access the cameras settings in the setting-apps menu.

I finally got it to work when I cleaned the data. Cache didn't help.

Have you tried force stopping, and clearing the cache and data for your camera app? Also, have you tried wiping the cache partition on your device?

Hey, I'm having the same issue but I don't understand your solution.

What do you mean you "cleaned the data"?

Oops. Typo. I meant I cleared out the data. Go to settings - apps - storage - clear data. It will delete any photos you have there (just save them elsewhere)
