Cannot turn phone off

Had Bixby turn on phone wouldn't let me turn phone off.  Since I disabled Bixby I can't turn phone off.  How to fix please?

This is how to make the poweroff/Bixby button just power.

Pull down your notification shade all the way down, tap on the power button, tap on side button settings, press and hold, toggle on power off menu. Now the next time you press and hodmthe power key you will on the power off menu

@Angmue If I read your post correctly, you said that you removed Bixby because it wouldn't let you turn the phone off. But with Bixby disabled you still can't turn the phone off. Is that correct?

If that is correct, then Bixby isn't the problem. 

How are you trying to turn your phone off?
