Will a fix for this vulnerability be provided for Note 8 phones?

@SteC This is a user to user discussion area so we wouldn't really know. But since the Note 8 is 7 years old, I'm going to guess that the Note 8 won't get an update.

You will not receive any software/security updates from Samsung as LongHiker has stated your Note 8 is 7+ years old.
Your only shot at any security update is through Google play services
