GPS symbol in notification bar stuck

I turned off GPS but it still shows GPS symbol on notification bar. Is it because GPS is being used in background or is it just an UI bug?

Device: Note10, UI 2.1, Android 10

It could be to let you know that it is off, so if you do want to use it you can locate it easily without alot of hassle. Mind you this is just a guess. If you want to know for sure without reading too much, I say google the "question and for your exact model" and it should give you the answer you are looking for.😁

I don't think that is the case because the symbol doesn't change even after starting GPS. It's like it forgot to be invisible after GPS is off, just stuck there. 

This started happening after last few pervious updates I believe. Because it was working normal when I first got my device.

I see what you are saying. Have you tried a soft reset?

yes, it resets when I restart the phone. But the issue is still there. After restart, next time I uenable and disable GPS it again gets stuck. I don't think restarting my phone everytime after disabling GPS is good programming.

When you go into settings>Locations and toggle GPS on and off does it behave the same way?

So I tried that but the symbol wasn't showing even when GPS was on. Now it was always no show. I updated software to latest version. And now it's not showing the symbol for GPS at all..

Try changing button orde from the pull down menu ,it may have moved the GPS toggle button after you updated.

Nothing changes. The GPS button is still there but no GPS icon on notification/status bar

The GPS button will remain. If you touch GPS symbol does it activate GPS and show in notifications?
