sorry Im using the old Galaxy Note 4 .

My question is how do I set the apps so that once I dont use them - that they shut off Automatically ? all New phone do this automatically .

Is this done in settings or do I need to install a New Android version ??

actually new phones don't do that automatically. they all just hibernate the app until you open it back up. what you're trying to do is easy just go into developer options, scroll down that list until you find background processes limit select the limit in there that you want. and the option right above it don't keep activities it's probably just only when you would want to change if you want everything to close when you're done with it

Thank you - I have set the limit to 2 apps. I also wanted to ask - I see a "Do not keep activities" is that similar to shutting off an apps when u dont use ?

or....after closing the app, click on the running apps button, and swipe it away, or clear all

Also I notice - in developer options - "Inactive apps " - so I can make all inactive except the ones I really need to use !!
