How best to handle background processes

I have a Galaxy note 10 running OS 12.

My phone is about 10 years old, but still running.

Question is how to handle background processes and which ones to sleep which not to sleep. I'm trying to better handle my battery usage - which I only charge to 85%.

Any tips / recommendations to better handle battery usage is appreciated.

Any helpful apps out there?

@userVY1hmhD6ms The Note 10 was introduced in 2019. So it is only 6 years old. Still old in computer terms.
