Is there a way to disable home button press wake up on galaxy note 9? I prefere not to use any cases and very often when I take the phone out of a pocket I press a finger in the home button area and the device wakes up. I would like to disable this kind of behavior entirely. I'm happy with sliding a finger over the fingerprint scanner wake up. I definitely don't need that extra kind of waking up the device. How can I do that?
Is there a way to submit a feature request or vote for a feature? I believe it would be useful for many people if that'd be added as a settings option. Besides, I read about disabling it on rooted devices. It's a matter of chaning a text file so it won't require significant effort to implement it as a user friendly option.
Yes! Please give us an update adding the option to disable this home screen wake option!Every time I pick up the phone I inadvertently turn it on and press a hundred different things before I realize it's on. So annoying !
I too would find this extremely helpful. I only use the finger print reader and side power button to access my phone. Please work this into a future update to allow the option to disable the home button.
Before the Oreo update I had only the Lock button wake the screen. It causes me problems by waking and registering on the pattern lock or apps in the corners. Hopefully it gets added back in. It drives me nuts because I feel it vibrate when it wakes so I have to press the power button to put it back to sleep and then concentrate on not touching the home button.
SETTINGS> DISPLAY> NAVIGATION BAR> UNCHECK "hard press home button" and then the "unlock with home button" then becomes disabled and greyed out!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!! There is a bug in the software, even if you turn off the toggle for "Unlock with home button" your phone still unlocks with the home button. BUT if you follow this advice and turn off hard press home button completely, my phone stays completely dormant no matter how I touch the screen. YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! (note: this worked on my galaxy S8+)
