My galaxy note 20 ultra , got hanged while i was on a call and i couldnot even switch off , or restart . I tried everything but it remained hanged for 2 hours . The phone seemed hot . For quiet a few days i have been getting notice that i need to change the battery . After 2 hours , everything became fine and it started functioning . I routinely use wifi for internet call to my family abroad . No issues for 4 months . But this thing was new with my note 20ultra . As it never ever hanged previously . What should i do ?? . Because i was proud that my note 20 ultra seemed a very good phone as it was fast and never hanged . But now i am confused ...i was happy to argue with apple users that i use an interesting phone (unlike apple ) and also my phone was fast and never hanged . But now it seems bad for me though . Plz help me out . Should i go for immediate change in battery??

Hello Gyan 2, Welcome to the Community. We understand how concerning it is when the phone freezes during a call, especially with it remaining that way for 2 hours.

Try clearing the cache partition of the phone from the recovery menu. This does not delete your data, but will clear any corrupt files that may be in the system. To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.

You can also try the troubleshooting steps here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001416

You can test the battery using the diagnostics in the Members app.

-Open the app and select Support

-Tap on Phone diagnostics

From here you can select to test the Battery Status and other hardware.

If you continue to experience concerns, we recommend having the phone evaluated by an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
