Galaxy Note PhonesThe update (2 updates ago as of this writing) that changed Live Focus to Portrait Mode has ruined the Color Point feature which I love and use a lot. Color Point is the feature that makes the blur background black and white while maintaining the color on the subject. Color Point under the current Portrait Mode does not accurately color the focused subject (it bleeds out of the subject) and background blur, in all blur features, is not as deep and dark even at the maximum level of 7. I'm hoping this will get to the tech who can fix this in the future updates. If they can refer back to the last update for Live Focus, that has worked almost perfectly.

Galaxy Note PhonesUpon more extensive test, color point works on human subjects though some tiny bleeding still exist. However when the subject is an object, the focus becomes a circle and not the shape of the object.

Galaxy Note PhonesFurther use proves that you are right. However, if I recall correctly, when it was still called Live Focus, it worked on non-human subjects as well and it had a higher/deeper depth of field (better blur). Hoping to see the following fixes/improvements for the color point mode in the future updates:
1. Fix color bleeding in color point mode.
2. Include non-human subjects in color point mode (not just a circular focus).
3. Increase depth of field.
