Took it off the charger at around 6 a.m. and it is now 1 p.m.

Battery is at 44%

Phone is not my original one which I got in 2020. That one green screened.

My Carrier had to send out two replacements before we got me one which worked.

Anyone?

Unfortunately, all Note devices are discontinued and have officially reached end-of-life as of 2026.

Your battery is likely degraded at this point in your device's life.

You can see if a certified Samsung repair center would perform a battery replacement.

Find one near you: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/

However, it is most likely time to consider upgrading your device.

Six hours to 44% doesn't seem so off to me.  It depends what you were doing with the phone in that time.  My A54, today had a little bit more use than normal - took it off the charger 7 hours ago and it's now at 39%.  Under my normal usage patterns, my battery typically lasts 15-18 hours before needing to be charged.  I don't mind boosting it in the evening for about 10 minutes.  Gives me enough to last me til bedtime when I put in on the charger while using it as a bedside clock.

S25U (and presumably the S26U, expected to be announced in 2 weeks) are available in 1TB variants and S25U is on sale with free storage upgrade to 512gb at present. Nearly $600 off MSRP.

I personally use these drives as external storage and they are great if you need additional storage space. https://a.co/d/0gg0ujdH1770848189135.jpg

I know it is Carrier-Specific. Is the 1 TB Variant available via Tmobile and VZW and Sprint?

The 1TB variant is available factory unlocked so you can use it with any carrier you'd like.

Carrier locked models max out at 512gb. https://www.samsung.com/us/smartphones/galaxy-s25-ultra/buy/galaxy-s25-ultra-256gb-unlocked-sku-sm-s...

You would have to inquire at those specific carriers.  However, the deal that @CEParsons is referring to is from Samsung directly, and you can buy an unlocked version that you can use with any carrier.  Also, if they are listing the carriers, if you want to order a carrier specific model, then the carriers listed will have that version.  The cost is the same whether you buy a carrier version or an unlocked version, so why would you buy a carrier version with their hobbled firmware?

What does being retired have to do with whether you get a carrier version or an unlocked version?  Radically different than what?  Everyone's device use is different from everyone else's. Obtaining a carrier version from a carrier store may not give you the same options as buying direct from Samsung in terms of promos and storage size - and color options.  Buying direct from Samsung gives you all the Samsung current promos and trade-in options, as well as being able to choose unlocked or one of the big three carrier versions.  The carriers all hobble the firmware in some way by eliminating access to some settings and/or removing some features.  You are also stuck with them until you can unlock your phone to move on.  With an unlocked phone,  you can go to any carrier, add their SIM and be on your merry way and switch carriers at will.
