Why do I have this white bar when using any app that's not samsung made? For example, I use Google messages and this is what it looks like. Would love to get rid of it. Also, I am already aware I could hide hints but I don't want to do that because then I lose the quick swipe to go to previous app.

It's because that app is in dark mode, but the phone isn't. Turn on dark mode in the phone settings and that should be black like everything else.

Unfortunately, both are in dark mode. First thing I checked. Lots of little things software wise that appear to have slipped through the cracks. Honestly might return device. Kind of tired of how half baked samsung software  is nowadays.
