So I have been trying to access the telephoto camera on my phone. At first, I tried zooming in on the main camera app. No luck. Then, I tried to use the open camera app, again no luck. Then, I got a gcam port that supports multiple cameras. Still nothing. So I downloaded Device Info HW to see if it is even available, and it shows 3 hardware cameras, but only 2 software cameras. It kind of feels like a scam if I can't use something on my phone that I paid for. Does anyone know how I can access the tele camera?

Hello, We know how frustrating getting the right photo can be. This article provides more information for using the Note8's dual cameras. https://www.samsung.com/my/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-dual-camera-on-the-samsung-galaxy-note-...

If you are experiencing issues with the camera, you can try the following steps:

1. Try clearing the app cache to remove any corrupt app data. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/ Once you clear the cache, restart the phone and then test the camera.

2. Clear the cache partition of the phone.

        1. Turn off your phone.

2.When it’s powered down, press and hold the Volume Up, Bixby (Home), and Power buttons simultaneously.

        3. Release all buttons when the Android logo appears. The Android system recovery menu options will then show up following the Installing system update prompt.

        4. Press the Volume Down button several times to highlight wipe cache partition from the given options.

        5. Press the Power button to confirm selection.

        6. Press the Volume Down button until Yes is highlighted.

        7. Then press the Power button to confirm.

        8. When the Reboot system now option is highlighted, it denotes that the wipe cache partition is finished. At this point, press the Power button to restart your device.

3. Test the phone in Safe Mode to rule out the possibility of a rogue 3rd party app. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

4. Make sure the phone and apps are all up to date.

5. If the camera is still not performing correctly, the final step of troubleshooting is a factory reset. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the camera is still not working after completing all the troubleshooting, then it is recommended to have the phone evaluated by a certified technician. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location
