The battery life is not what I expected at all. It has the same battery lifespan as my note 8, I just traded in. I don't know if it's just my phone or what, but my battery don't last all day. Maybe half a day but not all day. When I think of all day, meaning when I get up on and charge my phone to 100% in the morning, by the time I get ready for bed, I still have at least have a 5% or 10% battery. That's not the case with my note 9  When I get up in the morning around 6:40am. I charge my battery to a 100% and my battery is dying by 3 or 4 o'clock and I'm disappointed, because I would of just kept my note 8. What do you think, is it just me or are you having the same issue? If not, how long of a lifespan do you get from a 100% battery starting from the morning?  I think I'm a regular smartphone user, I don't make a lot of calls. I use the basic apps like, weather and news. My 3 social media apps are used the most, I don't game a lot. Majority of my apps are marked to always sleep mode and don't run in the background..........idk  What do you think? Thanks and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

@Pleu1986

my battery life is getting better over time. the 1st day I received it, it was not good. after a couple of full charge cycles, i am now getting thru two days without an issue give my normal usage. for instance, i am still at 60% today ~4pm, i charged it to 100% yesterday morning before work.

you could be a much heavier user than me, what screen time are you getting? i am now at ~4 hours with 60% remaining...

@Pleu1986 give it a week and let your battery calibrate. Your battery life should drastically improve over time, as the battery learns your usage.

I've had mines for a week and am only getting 12 hours on a single charge. I a very disappointed. Bluetooth is the only extra feature always on. I keep GPS, NFC & WiFi turned off. I am a power user, but have not been using it that heavily. Battery life is not that much better then the Note 8 that I had for a year. I'm thinking I need a replacement 😕

@user8qdzGmEDdX Could you please provide me your full model number and IMEI in a private message? Also, are you using the charger that came with the device?

I am facing exactly same issue. Without rigorously using the phone,  i lose battery percentage. Its disappointing because a phone with 4000mAh battery and latest and most optimised chipset should perform much better.

We can follow battery saving tips which will ask us to turn off all the features for which we paid so much money.

This is a note device for a power user, if i only wanted to make phone calls and WhatsApp why would I get a Note 9

Gotta love how moderators provide a generic solution that doesn't really address the issue and then mark the question solved when no one but them agrees that it's solved. 🙄

One thing I've read is that the Snapdragon 845 isn't more efficient than the 835, sadly. So maybe we're just breaking even between the 8 & 9.

I am getting the same battery usage from my Note 9.  I was dissappointed so I went back to my Iphone 8+.
