I've noticed that on my note 9, that the camera freezes while taking pictures. It's worse while shooting videos with a lot of lagging.
I don't know if anyone one else have experienced this.

I haven't received any updates since the initial 403mb Oct 1 security patch and camera features update.
You guys keep asking if we received updates to confirm the fix worked. What is the baseband/version number of the update we're supposed to receive that includes this specific fix?
If no one has an update with the version number that contains the update, then everything else is false. A lot of people getting an update will restart their phone and the problem will go away for a day or two. So if they post the issues gone that's not reliable information.
Recently purchased the HK version of Note 9 (Snapdragon 512GB), encountered this issue within 2 weeks of purchase. Build number M1AJQ.N9600ZHU1ARJ6 with no updates available. For now only regular rebooting avoids the issue.
@userI4q3GCFuFx at this time we haven't received an exact baseband version. We have, however, requested this information from the specialist and will follow up when we have further information.

I apologize if this has already been suggested, but what about turning off the s-pen bluetooth functions? Or at least the function of letting the s-pen control the camera. I've only had my US unlocked Note 9 for a week, so I have yet to experience this camera lag/freeze.
I really need to know when this is getting fixed. I am royally sick of this issue and am eye balling a oneplus 6t. I'll take the $1300 loss on the note 9 and never buy a samsung device again.
I haven't seen any major update on ATT 128GB version and my baseband is on ARJA, which doesn't match anything like 5, 6, 7 that everyone seems to be getting. No change to the camera on my end.
I love this phone .upgraded from my note 8, but am disappointed with the camera freeze which cost me some amazing moments with my kids. I have videos that have a freeze.
Between that and such slow pie beta availability I am not sure why this phone is worth $1000
Although I know plenty of folks are understandably extremely frustrated with this issue I do believe that most people have been very patient. It really is getting beyond the time when we need some concrete updates from you guys/Samsung. Taking this long to even concretely acknowledge the problem, plus still not having a concrete or even tentative release date for a fix is really adding to the frustration and anger. please provide definitive information or least the best information you have to all those who dropped their hard-earned money on this device but are struggling to use one of its most basic and critical features. It is about the absolute least that Samsung could do. Geesh, you would think we're asking for a refund for the defective product that we have purchased from Samsung. just let us know how long our $1,000 Samsung smartphone will fail to perform one of its most basic functions at least. like others, I have missed significant moments for myself and family because of my note 9 camera (mostly videocamera) not working appropriately. there's a big difference in us having to wait 2 to 3 weeks versus 2 to 3 months. If it's the latter just let us know so some of us can make the decision as to whether or not we simply want to switch to a different device such as a pixel or an iPhone. At least let us make that decision.
