Note 9 not receiving text messages from iPhone

Just switched from Apple to Note 9. 

If I send a cell phone text message to someone with another Android device, everything works just fine.  But if I send a cell phone text message to someone with an iphone, they get my message, but their message never comes back to me.

You will need to sign in to your Apple account and disable the iMessage option.

Thanks for your help .... I had disabled iMessage, but learned one still has to disable Facetime as well. Take care.
