Note 9 suddenly lost the quick settings when I slide down from the top. Help?

My quick settings option has disappeared from the top slide down. All I see now are text messages. And I can't even scroll through the text messages or they vanish and I have to back arrow and start all over again. Please help!

I am trying to, but I don't know why I can't post it. Basically, I would be able to access things like the flashlight, devices, ringer on/off, etc when I would slide down from the top. Now all that shows up are notifications. I hope that makes sense. I am about to send it through the garbage disposal.

Hello, We know how important the Quick Settings are. Have you tried removing the current theme and restarting the phone?

Yes. That seems to be the only way to get the quick settings to come back. Does it sound like a minor software glitch? Or maybe the hardware? I may stop in at T-Mobile and show them. See what they think. Thank you for your assistance!

Try clearing the cache partition of the phone. 

1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
3. When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
4. An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

If the Quick Settings are disappearing when a theme is applied, I think this would mean there is a compatibility issue with the theme. 

However, if it is just randomly disappearing then I would believe it to be an issue with the software.
