Note10 + 5G S-pen grabbing screen

In some apps my S-pen "grabs" the screen before it even makes contact and it doesn't stop until I touch the screen.

This happens with all air actions turned off and also with a second brand-new OEM S-pen.

I've tried a lot of things but trial and error has lead me to believe that the fault may lie in the handset.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for that information. If you don't experience these symptoms with your device in safe mode, it would be a third-party causing the symptoms you are experiencing. I would recommend deleting the apps one by one to see which app is causing these symptoms.

Does this occur with the device in safe mode?

So far I haven't been able to replicate the issue in safe mode because there isn't much there. That is to say all the apps, browser pages, basically anything interactive, is deactivated.

Are you sure it's officially a Samsung S-Pen? Do you have a case with a magnet on it?

It is an official Samsung S-pen I bought directly from Verizon.

The case is an Incipio DualPro that is made of TPE and polycarbonate, so no magnets.

I got the phone brand new the week it came out as a pre-order from Verizon and it has never been dropped.

Also, it only started doing this about a month ago. It worked fine before that.
