Very strange finding ringer volume turned off where this mystery has been impossible to solve and it's so random frustrating.

I was expecting call from friend to stop by after work and his call was missed.
After waking from nap its discovered Ringer volume was turned off.

Volume by default is alway set full volume.
Random checks and it's usually fine.
I've exhausted going through settings and never see anything to alter.

I'm starting to wonder if 'Good Lock App' might be the mystery control agent.
All updates are current.
I did search the archives here to maybe find anything related, and none were found.

With lack of transportation, it's difficult to get to Verizon in the next town.

I do use screen edge assistant quick menu
instead of pressing buttons for media volume, screenshot, and screen brightness. Stickman icon resides in bottom right corner to reveal menu assistant.
I can't recall if this is part of Good Lock app at the moment.
It would be nice if I was actually in charge.
Not used to sharing cool device with aliens.
Cheers

Why would you think Good Lock has anything to do with your ringer volume being off? Unless you set some control, yourself, in one of the Good Lock modules (and, I can't think of any aside from sound assistant), it's not going to do it on its own. Volume control is an active action - meaning *you* have to do something to change the volume. It is not so hard to accidentally mute your phone ringer, as it's controlled by the volume buttons on the side of  your phone.  long pressing on the lower volume button, even by accident, will result in your phone muting itself.

The "stickman" icon is for accessibility settings, and is built into the OS.  If you turned on the accessibility icon, you must have turned on some setting in accessibility - it does not turn itself on and is not on by default.

Even if this was a problem that you needed to contact Verizon for (it's not), you can dial 611 on your phone to call them.  No need to travel to a store.  Store personnel are salespeople who follow a scripted troubleshooting routine.  They are not tech support.

For no particular reason guessing Good Lock as nothing else can be found why one day volume is fine the next totally shut off.
And just worn out from looking at endless settings of not finding anything related.

Thanks for effort and ideas.
Guess the new routine is make sure volume is on before expecting important call.

Cheers

You could also create a simple routine:
IF: incoming call (from anyone or specific callers)
THEN: sound mode and volume, (set the ringer volume to the level you want). This will insure your phone rings if your volume accidentally gets turned off and you don't have to remember to do it.
