LEAVE THE SIDEBAR ALONE!  The last system update stuck icons I never use at the top of my sidebar and they can't be deleted.  Why on earth would you do that?!  I'm not using those apps you crowded into my sidebar and never will.  Now I have to scroll to get down to the apps I do want on my sidebar.  INCONVENIENT AND INTRUSIVE.

Open side bar, click the pencil on bottom right, click the 3 dots on top right, turn off see recent apps

Neat... I thought it just stuck two apps in the list.  I didn't realize that it was the two recently used apps.  LOL

Don't need icons displayed for last used sidebar apps.  Now I have to scroll down to see the bottom apps.  INCONVENIENT.  Not sure why these things need to be messed with.
