This is an absolutely true story. My Samsung Note 20 is the most durable phone I've ever owned. I know its hard to belive when I tell you that this phone is almost indestructible. I have dropped this phone at least 10,000 times in the five years I've owned it. I realize it is hard to comprehend that statement but I assure you it's 100% true. The fact that I used it for 5 years is hard to believe in itself but how many times I actually dropped it , without a case mind you, and did not damage it is just unbelievable. It was not until the last 10 times I dropped it that it started to crack. It only cracked at the very bottom and very top of the screen. So the whole screen is still in tact and without any cracks. I wish they still made the Note phones. My Samsung Note 20 was the best phone I have ever owned. I will never have another phone come close the durability of the Samsung Note 20. It is without a doubt the world champion of phones. Thank you Samsung. I am a forever customer because of the Note 20.
I hear ya. And can respectfully and with humor 1 up ya! Im still using a NOTE 9!!!! With 512gb memory. No sceen damage. Everything is original equipment!! And I have no plans to upgrade anytime soon. All the new stuff is inferior to our two phones. Maybe soon Samsung will get the hint! But I doubt it. We may have the og's in the room, but show me something that can last as long and still do the job!! None of the new **bleep** can! Keep going with NOTE 20! I'm right beside ya with my NOTE 9!! May need some arthritis creme once in a while...but hey .... thats life!
Yes, I began with the A series, then acquired the Galaxy 3, and subsequently upgraded to the Note 3. You are quite right, Galaxy phones are indeed robust. However, I believe the features of the Note 3 were remarkably advanced for its time. It included a remote control for televisions and a scrolling page reader! I would be delighted to find an application that could replicate these functionalities. Does anyone have any current information or updates regarding this?
Note 20 Ultra user here. Definitely holds up. First phone I've ever had more than 2 years without issues. Never cracked the screen until literally a week ago and I've dropped it a lot too. This time it just happened to land on the one corner with the least protection just right and it cracked and went across the screen. Got it replaced free and the guy was amazed. Said he could tell it was all original and never been repaired before. Definitely best phone I've ever had. I do contribute part of that to buying it directly from Samsung versus the phone carrier because every phone prior I bought from the phone carrier and within 2 years had to trade in or warranty exchange. My only issue now is I'm running out of space due to all that I do on my phone. But I absolutely love this phone.
Note 20 5g user here = these GALAXY SERIES phones are the best! My first was the NOTE 2, & since then = I haven't owned anything but a GALAXY NOTE series phone...
That is an incredible run for a Note 20! 10,000 drops without a case is honestly legendaryโit really was built like a tank. Itโs always impressive to see a phone last five years, especially with that kind of history.
I love Technology. It is so hard for me to understand what it must be like to have a phone with any more power than my N20U. I like the way it fits in the hands. I have oodles of Storage and Memory. I get compliments from everyone on the quality of the photos.
Samsung Engineers, hats off to you. A phone from 6 years ago is still rocking and rolling.
I hope you're not using that as our daily driver because it's open to the world for hacking as it hasn't had an Android update since early 2023 and the security updates ended in September of 2025.
