Trying to Change Email - "Email Already In Use"

I'm trying to update my email address on my Samsung Note 10. I use an email address with my name - and my old email address has my maiden name on it.  i'd like to update it to my married name but when i go to "Change email" in the settings on my phone, I input the email address, and it states "Email Already in use" But I cannot find where it is in use anywhere?! I went to "My Account" on samsung.com to see which products my email address that i want to change to is registered to... and it's registered to my phone that I want to update the email address on! WHY won't it let me update the email address when it's my email!! LOL 

I may need to clarify my question. 🙂 

I'm trying to set up my entire samsung account with my new email address.  So all of my saved passwords, photos, etc will be tied to this email address. (When you go into Settings, your name and email address are the first thing that pops up. I'm trying to change this email address so my entire samsung phone is attached to my new email address.)

When your are having Emails issues it's not your phone, you have to address it with your Email carrier in your email, then help. Example: Google, Hotmail etc. They will then send you information to your email to make sure that it is you and answere questions given you. If they are answered correctly, then you will be able to change/update.

You may have to delete the old email from your phone in general then add your new one to it. After you add it then try to add the old one back. My suggestion is if you use Hotmail or yahoo don't use the factory email Samsung has on the phones go and download the email app directly. For instance if you use Gmail don't go to email to put the Gmail on it just use the Gmail App and same for yahoo or Hotmail.

Right you will have to take the old account off and set up the new address on the phone. But switching over the passwords etc you will have to manually do that. What I'd do is screenshot the passwords from Samsung pass then when you switch accounts go back to Samsung pass then start inputting the passwords individually. For the pictures don't erase anything once you switch that go to settings in pictures and turn on sync again.
