I received a charging pad and it will not charge my note 9. Any ideas? Is there a setting i dont know of. No case on the phone

Ok i found out the case i had on the phone had a metal strip built into it. Removed it and now it works

Do you have the charging pad plugged directly into a wall socket or a surge protector?

There is no setting, should start charging soon as you lay it on the pad. If it doesnt then most likely your pad is not working. If you can try another phone so you know which one is messed up.
