Voicemail notification remains after clearing voicemail

Has anyone had an issue with the voicemail notification/icon remaining on the phone after clearing all voicemails?

When you say clear, does that include having listened to the messages, then clear out the notification?

If so, then you're provider would have to help with that as their service is what puts the notification there.
