Hi Forum

Someone I called said to me that the way my initials and so on which appeared when I dialed them seemed unusual.

For example
It might show an ID gif then my intials

What determines what appears when you place a call?

Is it my Samsung Account or what my Carrier decides to show or how I am signed in to Google?

Making sure no spoofing is going on.

Thanks

I'm on at&t and if I call someone the name you put on the line in at&t is what shows on the other person's phone if they don't have you as a contact.

If you are in someone's contact list, what appears on their phones is usually the picture and ID they assign to you.  If they have profile picture sharing turned on in the contacts app, they will see what you have chosen for your profile picture.  If you are not in someone's contact list, they will see your normal caller ID and the default call background they set on their phone.  The caller ID info (name/number) is set by your carrier.  Next time, ask if they can send you a screen shot of what they are seeing, so you can see it too.
