Who else is annoyed about Samsung switching to Google Messages?

I just read Samsung is forcing users as of July 2026 to Google Messages and I'm quite annoyed about it. I'm a Samsung lover because I like their setup. If I wanted to use Google, I would get a Google phone. I hate Google Message!

I choose to use Samsung Messages over Google Messages any day! I dislike how much Samsung has integrated Google into their phones. Like you said, if I wanted a Google setup, I would've gotten a Google phone. I've loved Samsung since I had my first one years ago - the S8+. Samsung all the way!!!

I said the exact same thing. I'm checking out Textra SMS as alternative. It doesn't have RCS compatibility. Google us refusing to allow compatibility to any other SMS platforms meaning you won't see texts from all others who fall prey to Google's antics. Guess that will mean family and friends will have to call or email me to communicate because I refuse to be forced by Google to conform!

I generally prefer Google apps over Samsung's, but Messages is the exception. Samsung's version has clean lines, is clear, easy to use, customizable in ways I like. Like you, if I had wanted to use Google Messages, I would have. Samsung has a habit of deprecating things that work perfectly well. 🫤

I am more than annoyed. If I could get rid of google n android id b so happy. I like my life to b private. I dont likethe surrvaliance 24/7. Not that I have anything to hide but my business is mu business not mine n gogles

This new message system has messed up everything. I can't stand rhe layout which is minor. But the fact that I now need to buy a new watch to get my txts is wild. There alot of times my phone is on silent and I will be alerted to txt by my phone. And the topper is now my car doesn't get any messages, I can't tell you how absolutely absurd this is. The Samsung txt app was just fine, my youngest has Iphone and we were able to txt back and forth perfectly. You should've given an option to us if we wanted to switch.

Its **bleep**ing bogus! I hate Google Messages, the app is so lame and boring! Samsung Messages at least integrates with the theme on my phone!

I just read this and I'm very annoyed. I do not like Google messages. Google messages doesn't work with Samsung themes. I hope Samsung change their mind about this feature.
