Adaptive brightness grrrrr

Not sure why they changed automatic brightness to Adaptive brightness but I've had the reset the app multiple times cause it keeps getting too dark to see during normal conditions. Never had an issue with automatic brightness but this adaptive brightness seems like a bad idea.

It does actively learn. Sometimes takes a few times being changed to stick

Adaptive brightness will learn in which cases you want a specific brightness.  So if brightness is darker than you like, just bump it up to your liking.  The adaptive brightness should learn soon enough after you keep increasing it after it lowers few times.

You can setting this, just turn it to manual
