The new update has caused my phone to be unusable for phone calls unless I use a Bluetooth earbud. Have done everything under the moon to try and fix it and nothing works, even replaced the entire microphone assembly. When calling the person on the other end hears nothing but loud static until I speak, though, if I use an eabud the problem goes away. Samsung is at fault and is pretty much just saying get a new phone. It was fine until this update!!!
Have you run a diagnostic on the mic. Did you replace the assembly yourself or have a professional do it? Have you tried using a different phone app and get the same result? It could be a software issue. Is there static when using an app like skype or whatsapp? It would not be Samsung's fault or a bad mic unless you had static in every app that uses the mic and even then, maybe not on Samsung, may be something with your setup.
Yes I have, it says it is fine, which it is not. I had a professional samsung repair shop do it. I downloaded the Google Phone app and tried that and still the same thing, same for wifi calling. No static when using apps like Snapchat or creating videos.
