I have a Samsung GS7. I have Two types of earbud, Bose and Mpow. Bose has wires to each bud. Mpow is completely wireless.
Both let me Hear audio, BUT, when I try to use as External Microphones.... Nothing. I connect them (One at a time), turn on a recording app.. Walk away from phone, while talking. Come back and play back. ONLY the Phone Microphone is working. I can NOT find anything that would Turn OFF built-in mic, or Detect use of External Microphone.
When I had Jawbone earbuds (a few years ago), with Gs5, I had No problem.
Since my problem is with TWO Different earbuds, seems there Must be Some problem with my GS7 Cell phone settings.
