Galaxy S PhonesWhen I edit a contact in the Contacts app (orange icon as I don't know if it is Android or Samsung's app) and I change the phone number, instead of still having only one phone number, I have two. The original one and then a second one (the correction).
I'm pretty sure I did this successfully in the past, but now I seem to have to delete the extra one after I realize that it is still there.
... time passes ...
Just now I went in again and I don't even see the duplicate to delete it.

Galaxy S PhonesMy contacts are synced with Outlook. I see there were apparently two contacts linked in Outlook. So I think when it was showing the old number, it was getting it from a linked contact. So I have deleted the link and I think everything is ok now.
MAYBE that was the whole problem. Not 100% sure.
