Email Scrolling Problem

A week ago I started having an issue while using the Samsung email app that acts like some type of scroll lock.

I can open the email app, select which email account I want to use with no problem. But, when I try to type a message in a new email or reply to an email I can only type until the text message body meets the keyboard box. At that point the cursor/screen snaps back up to the top of the message. It won't allow me to scroll further down the screen. I can keep typing but there's no way to view what I'm writing.

Something has changed in the Samsung email program because it was working right before. This happens with I use both MSN and Comcast emails. My Samsung phone no longer receives updates so that can be ruled out as the cause. I've not changed any settings.

This is very aggravating! I've seen that other users are having this same problem with all stating that the issue started in the past couple of weeks. What's changed? C'mon, Samsung... fix this ASAP! This is totally unacceptable!!

UPDATE: THIS MORNING THERE WAS AN UPDATE TO SAMSUNG EMAIL THAT INCLUDED A PATCH TO FIX THE SCROLLING PROBLEM. SO FAR, SO GOOD!

Samsung Support gave me this fix:

Setting > Apps > Android System WebView > App details in store > Remove update > Uninstall

Do not install Update after you do the above.

We've done this and it works temporarily. Unfortunately, the Android System Webview seems to auto-update through Google play store and the new webview returns with the bug.

Clearing the  cache and restarting doesn't work.

Come on Samsung, relying on Members to solve your problems is not service. We recently upgraded with 2 latest preium phones. We expect better help.

Same problem. Thankfully app market has plenty of other email services. These big name brands can't compete with smaller devs anymore. Its always "We have our techs on it" and never a fix.

I have the same issue and thought maybe the Samsung software update today would resolve it, but it didn't. I've read other comments that people tried all of the options recommended by Samsung to fix it, but none of them worked, so I didn't even attempt to try them. Samsung was supposed to escalate it to a higher level tech, but apparently it still isn't fixed.
This is incredibly frustrating 🤬
