GMail not syncing

This issue is driving me crazy, I've tried all and every tip about the issue.

GMail app is not syncing properly on S10e G970F, Android 10, One UI 2.1 only when opening the app does the sync happens

Things I've tried:

- disabling battery optimization for GMail

- happens on every battery mode (S10e only have "optimized" as higher option)

- disabled dark mode

- checked every setting both in GMail, Google Account

- adding everything Google related to non optimized app

- disabled adaptive battery

- clearing GMail data and caché

...and many more.

The only workaround that makes me receive mail and getting notified is adding GMail account on Samsung Mail app, but I have to use both apps to be able to receive mail in time.

Try removing the Google account and readding from settings >> accounts.

As well make sure auto sync is in for the phone and account in question.

Issue persists, I've removed and added again all Google related account settings, checked that auto-sync was enabled, checked that GMail was not in battery optimization settings, but the same behaviour happens, Samsung Mail syncs correctly both in Auto Mode and Every 15 minutes, GMail app still stuck at the moment I've added the account back again and only syncs when opening the app

Still have the same issue, Samsung S10+ on Android 11, One UI 3.0. I know this response is quite a while later, but did you ever find a fix?
