My phone is dropping out at 55% So disgusted moving back to sony. My galaxy had three batteries I swapped round to last a day. Not even got the option to do this. Dreadful con.
I wanted to put up a solution that I have found after searching these forums.
Screen on: Battery drains 1% every 30 seconds with screen on.
Screen off: Battery drains 1% every 3-4 minutes with screen off.
I "recalibrated" the battery by keeping it on until the phone died and turned off on it's own. I turned the phone back on and let the battery die again within seconds. With the phone off, I charged the phone until it showed 100% on phone off screen. With the phone not charing I turned the phone back on. After doing this my battery indicator returned to normal and I was back to seeing normal drainage:
Screen on: Battery drains 1% every 4-5 minutes
Screen off: Battery drains 1% every 30-45 minutes.
When draining the phone down to dead, the phone showed a charge of 1% for 2.5 hours before finally dying. This lead me to believe the batteries charge level was way off and "recalibrating" it fixed it.
Give this a try to see if it works for you.
After reading through 17 pages of the same issues - my S7 has the same happening after about 1 year. My phone battery started draining very quickly (7am @ 100% - by 9am down to 75% while mostly on standby)
I did a little of what each of you have mentioned:
Last evening at 11 pm (Battery at 95%)
Today at 9am (Battery at 90%)
Today at 11pm ( Battery at 59%) Didnt use it much as its sunday but it certainly a drastic change in standby time.
Not sure if all this makes sense as Im pretty much a novice but it seems that so far its working for me. Will update in about a week.
Same here. My s7 battery has always been great! But since the new update I have to charge several times throughout the day. I'm not using my phone differently. Very irritating
