2 days ago my S7 had to restart out of nowhere. Before that, i was having problems with the camera failing because of an AR app called Porsche Mission E which i had problems with way before this. I think the app had something to do with the restart.
After the restart, my phone prompted me to unlock my sim. I did not have the pin, PUK or sim removal tool to my eir mobile sim card. So i ignored it until now when i decided to enter the wrong PUK 10 times (i didn't know that it would permanently block my sim at the time.) just to get into my phone. When i entered my passcode to unlock my phone and deleted the "Mission E" app directly after. However, later when i tried to use my fingerprint to unlock my phone, it wasn't scanning my fingerprint. (No warning to reposition my finger or anything like that, it just didn't do anything)
I have tried the following since:
• Wiping cache partition
• erasing and re-registering my fingerprint multiple times
• restarting the device multiple times
And another thing, the scanner reads my fingerprint in the settings where you configure your fingerprint but just not on the lock screen.
If anyone has a solution, please tell me. Thanks.
