I just got my S9 Plus today and I can say there are some thing that I am not impressed with.

With Galaxy S8 Plus you were able to change the Text Message Bubbles and customize the Background with your own picture.

I'm not sure as to why it was not a feature brought over to the S9 Plus, the text messaging app seems archaic and disappointing.

**I know many people have complained about this. Can you please see if the developers can push an update you make this an option.

That's not what she's referring to. Within the messaging app you have the ability to change the background AND the bubble style. The option was removed with the recent update.

Yeah but would change the entire phone's theme. I have a lock screen wallpaper, a home screen wallpaper, and I HAD a message wallpaper! =(

This is a horrible update!!! It used to be so easy to change the text message bubble color and background. The themes are awful and not a all user friendly. So disappointed!!!! Please change this back.

Go to your control panel and pick Themes and wallpapers. You get an option to change your wallpaper, themes and icons. Go to themes and pick a theme. That will change your bubbles. Now, if it's not the wallpaper you want to keep, you can go back and change your wallpaper.

If you don't like the one that you bought how do you get rid of it. I don't like the way the background keeps me from seeing the info on my contacts

Picking a new theme is the only way I have found that indeed does change colors of messaging bubbles. Thanks!

WE DO NOT WANT A THEME WE WANT OUR PICTURES! HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO SAY IT!? it's crazy that Samsung is the only phone on the planet that you can't customize to your satisfaction I will never buy another one unless things get better. should have known better I'm just stuck with a regular Android.they're trying to be like apple there's a reason that we don't have iPhones we don't like them quit trying to be like Apple!!!

When you go to your control panel and pick Themes and wallpapers, you get an option to pick wallpapers, themes and icons. Go to themes, choose a theme and download that. That will change your bubbles, etc. Now, if it's not the wallpaper you want, you can go back and just change your wallpaper to whatever you want.

Reply:     "Control Panel"? Please use correct description verbage - I think you mean "Settings"? Anyway - point being - changing the theme changes the phone theme - it doesn't allow you to just customize the Messeges "theme"
